Various types of raw materials are used in the construction of arms, such as copper chromium zirconium class 2 (L), copper beryllium cobalt and NP200 (L) class 3, brass rods in cold forming or brass casting or aluminum plates of special grades.
In parts with longer dimensions, such as robotic arms, it is sometimes necessary to use a conductive coating such as copper to increase the electrical conductivity of the arm.
